SUNDAY 24TH MARCH FROM 7PM BOILING POINT AND SHOGUN ASSASSIN VHS FUZZY SPECIAL
THIS SUNDAY AT CULTIVATE BOILING POINT AND SHOGUN ASSASSIN. This see the film project SHOGUN ASSASSIN directed by Robert Houston and his writing partner David Weisman, a protégé of Andy Warhol who also directed Ciao! Manhattan (1972). A fan of the original Kozure Ōkami series of films, Weisman went on to obtained the rights to produce the Japanese-American project. Distributed by Cult film director Roger Corman's New World Pictures within the grindhouse movie circuit. Shogun Assassin's extreme violence caused it to be banned for nearly 20 years after its release the cut version finally got released on DVD in 2003 which is why I have lovingly restored the original uncut VHS copy, all 28 years of this actual tape which we will be shown in all it's fuzzy, scratchy, grindhouse glory. Along side the equally relentless Boiling Point. With the usual free popcorn and Rum at Joshua Brooks.
