BULLHEAD AND VENGEANCE IS MINE
This week we are taking a trip Belgium with BULLHEAD to
follow one mans search for redemption. Living on the fringes if society his
past is brought sharply into view when an old face resurfaces to remind him of
his traumatic past, forcing him to face-up to the consequences of his actions.
This visceral of inner rage, revenge and then redemption will have you hooked
till the end.
Next up is VENGEANCE IS MINE, based on a true story making
IMAMURA’S visual execution of Iwao Enokizu murderous rampage and subsequent
78-day manhunt. This film both seduces and repels in equal measure. Unfolding
through flashbacks with a mixture of poignancy and tragic brutality and a sense
of the banal. Transcending your average portrait of serial killer this film
will take you to emotional ride leaving you with more questions than answers,
to call it a masterpiece is an understatement.
