This week we take a trip through a sound narrative, playing
on the idea that the human mind is open to hypnotic suggestion our first film
LFO looks at what could happen if it was possible to find a radio frequency that
could manipulate some ones thoughts through sound hypnoses. This lo-fi
examination into the darker side of the human psyche is fast becoming an indie
classic since its release in late 2014. Next up is the cult neon classic NIGHT
OF THE COMET back in the 80’s a trend for brave resourceful ass-kicking leading
ladies, was this an attempt to move away from previous accepted stereo-types or
was this just a vehicle to cash in on the previous female lead sci-fi
franchises. That aside this is a neon drenched 80’s classic with its tongue
firmly in its cheek, with an accidental feminist narrative this is a must for
cult film fans. With the usual free popcorn and rum.
